PBIS

PBIS is an approach to proactive, school-wide behavior.  PBIS applies programs, strategies and practices for all students to increase academic performance, improve safety, decrease problem behavior and establish a positive school culture. 

 

Roosevelt Elementary has developed Cardinal S.T.A.R.S based on the PBIS model.  You see it in every classroom, in the hallways, bathrooms, cafeteria and on the playgrounds.

 

Roosevelt is utilizing the PBIS model in a variety of ways:

• weekly drawing for breakfast S.T.A.R.S. students
• weekly drawing for V.I.P. lunch students 

Breakfast S.T.A.R.S. have a special breakfast in the cafeteria and the V.I.P. lunch students get to sit at a special table for lunch. Look for your child to bring home acknowledgements for their S.T.A.R. behavior.
